Shut Up and Pray

Jesus is So Cool

Christians, cover your eyes because you are probably going to be butt hurt…no, I can   guarantee that you will be butt hurt when all is said and done, but it is my blog and I can say what I want to.  So, there – you have been warned!  I have really come to dislike most of the “Christian” population and that in itself isn’t very nice of me to say, but honestly most of the Christians that I have encountered are the most selfish, self-centered, ill advised, shit talking people EVER!  They pretend to be so self-righteous while doing absolutely NOTHING of offering the “bread” or help that the Bible tells them to.  The entire Christian faith is based on sacrifice and divine judgment.  YET, the so many Christians pass their time passing judgment on others and it does nothing to make non-Christians want to join their ranks which is what God wants them to do — get out there and spread the gospel and recruit.  The Bible teaches to be gentle and humble towards your fellow man, yet there are so few who behave like this, and I can’t believe that *I* have to tell Christians how to behave!! ME, of all people! Bitch, please!!!

I am not perfect.  I’m FAR from it. I am not here to talk about being perfect and rarely do I ever “ass slap” myself about my accomplishments.  I don’t publicly discuss the volunteer work that I do.   I am kind and I have bent over backwards to help friends and strangers alike.  There have been occasions that I’ve sent my last $100 to a family I didn’t know  so they could have groceries.  I sponsored individuals and teams in various walks and marathons from AIDS to Down Syndrome.  I have worked extensively with missing children and just because I’m not on here all the time patting myself on the back and bragging myself up about it doesn’t mean that it’s not happening.  To me – when you are bragging like that, you are doing your volunteer work FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.  I don’t talk often about the minutiae of my personal life and I don’t ever talk about my religious preferences because frankly — it’s no one’s business.  People are unable to respect the rights and religious beliefs of others and automatically assume that if you do not believe the same as they do that you are a heathen damned to hell.  I have enough problems online with the freaks that hate me for my opinions about the booger eaters of true crime than to go into what I believe of my religious beliefs.

My beliefs do not define who I am – just as the beliefs of others should not define who they are, BUT in my opinion as of late – there are people who use Jesus as a Bandaid for stupid.  Jesus didn’t make you pork your wife’s best friend – just like he didn’t give your neighbor’s kid cancer!  It was NOT God’s will that a 4-year old was murdered and I hate even more the shit when people start telling me “Oh, God won’t ever give you more than you can handle”.  Really? You have NO idea what I am capable of handling – or anyone else for that matter.  We all have our breaking points and God has absolutely NOTHING to do with it.  Personal fortitude and inner strength does. The power to believe in yourself and move forward has EVERYTHING to do with it and if you are fortunate enough to be someone that has faith in Jesus, God, Allah or whomever – then good for you.  However YOU are the one pulling your sorry ass through your mess.  NOT any deity.  THEY (your god) are providing you the scriptural based faith to move forward, but ultimately it is you that drags your depressed, tear-stained face out of bed to move forward yet another day and not go down to the local firing range and suck the business end of a revolver.

Facebook has also become a haven for apostolic assholes who portray themselves as caring enough online to their friends who are in crisis, but their actions prove otherwise when they start proffering their special brand of stupid on their walls that shows how Christian they really are.   These Christians are telling people that they are “complaining” when a good Christian is supposed to support their friends.  Embrace and console them – not tell them to shut up and pray and shove stupid Christian music videos at them.  What the hell is that going to do except offend the auditory senses?  Newsflash: not everyone shares the same musical tastes.  Another apostolic asshole presumption.

Our world has gone to shit and it’s the religious asswipes who proclaim to be so loving and kind who are stinking it up!  They are the ones who are duct taping their balls together and humping the neighbor’s cat while screaming  justice for this or that dead kid that doesn’t belong to them.  Read your newspaper!  All of the freaks are the ones claiming to be such good churchies.  They are the people who are so effed up and weak that they must perpetrate a fraud to the world because they are so spineless and ugly on the inside. They hate who they are so they have to pretend to be someone else.   Sorry, but I’d rather be called a heathen baby hatin’ bitch than a spineless hypocrite.  I know who I am, and I happen to like me.

…and, yes, that IS Jesus H. Christ on a jumpin’ stick!!

    Like Dostoevsky’s Jesus,
    I would kiss your forehead,
bless you, then turn and walk away.

You’ve made your peace. Good for you!
It’s all for one and one for all, so
    you’re still in the clear.

Thanks. (I think LOL) I just think it’s rotten for people that claim to be Christians to do things that God himself spoke against. I am who I am. I am outspoken, and I at times have a foul mouth and am quick to quick to judge, BUT when called on the carpet I will reassess and if I am wrong I will be the first one to say so and I will apologize and have done so many times over the years. In fact, some of the people who thought they hated me the most are now very cherished friends of mine, but I’m no hypocrite. I am human and I am wrong…a lot sometimes. I’m not afraid to admit that. It’s what makes me become a better person in my walk through this life.

It’s been interesting watching them, and how unintentionally evil they are. Just by living they almost prove there is no God.

It’s very disheartening and without getting into a pissing match about whether there is or isn’t — because that’s what will happen LOL — it makes me sad because I grew up in a very religious household. My grandmother took me to church with her ever since I could remember and her whole life was church until the day she took her last breath. She believed it; she lived for her faith, and she truly loved her Savior and nothing anyone could do could change her mind. She believed in the power of prayer and she always told us that Jesus didn’t like Christians who were ugly. I am sure that she would be very disappointed that some of these people behave as they do because it reflects on the church as a whole. They use religion as a bandaid and as a way to vindicate themselves for being gigantic tools to other people. I guess they figure that Christians can’t be thought of as douchebags. It’s wrong. If you’re not walking the walk – you shouldn’t be talking the talk. That’s my take on it.

There is a whole new wave of what I call Sunday morning Christians. The rest of the week they have no idea who God is. Just for that hour or two on Sundays do they acknowledge Him.
To me that is sad. I do not try to cram my church down any owns throat. Its called living by grace and respect. Too bad most have forgotten that.

  5. angelinfl

What comes to mind is these Christians only are god thinkers on sunday mornings and the rest of the week are using drugs, involved in swap clubs, watching pornography, selling drugs… but they are good Catholics, Christians or insert name of religion here…. but when it comes down to it are hypocrits and horrible people. They cheat in God’s name too!

We should never respect those that lie and tell children that they must believe what they are told or they will burn in a pit of fire for an eternity. there isn’t a single shred of evidence to prove of any of those stories are anything near a fact. that is called a lie. then to use the developing mind of a child and tell them such stories and provide threats to their minds of the most horrible types imagined, is just disgusting. no ones god is any more real or any less false than another god or any other superstition. 1000’s of years have passed and the religious side has yet to provide a single piece of evidence to support their claims. while these same ignorant individuals go around claiming evolution is a lie when it is backed up by volumes of evidence which grows each and every day and the evolutionary scientist haven’t been at it for 1000’s of years. come on, it is pretty easy to see, very logical and supported by facts. not the lie the christians, and muslims love to spread about their superstitions.

Or how they like to claim our founding fathers were Christians. NO they weren’t. They believed in the right to pursue religious freedom and if that meant that you were allowed to believe in Jesus on a pogo stick — then so be it, but very few of them believed that Jesus was real and many thought the Bible was a fairy tale. However, the Christians won’t tell you that as they are trying to further their cause. Funny how those who are supposed to be so righteous are the ones telling all the stories.

LOOOOOOOOOOL. You are a very funny guy. Although i agree with most of your views, i believe you would have alot of questions because i perceive you genuinely seeking answers.

Not claiming to have all the answers but post your questions about your thoughts on “christianity”. I can be as real as you wish.
    Looking forward to a challenge

I just came across an article that I think is interesting. Well the article itself is not interesting but the comments left by readers was very interesting. The article is about Richard Dawkins having a Center for Inquiry event at a Country Club but, after the owner of the Country Club saw Dawkins on Bill O’Reilly, he cancelled Dawkins event because Dawkins is an Atheist to which Dawkins has mentioned possibly suing the Country Club for religious discrimination. The article is here…

As I said the article is not as interesting as the comments. For instance these two…

I agree Fairvoice, these people are like the KKK. They are horrible people and should probably be locked up in some concentration camp so they can’t spew their hatred against us Christians. Christians are the REAL victim in all this because these athiests want to talk about God like he is some made up person, when we ALL know he is a real person who loves us and talks to us. Actually, I think the appropriate punishment is to crucify them. That’ll show them what us Christians are all about.

And this one from the same person….

Better yet, we can bring back the inquisition too! Combine the inquisiton with the salem witch trials and a good time will be had by all, except all you evil athiests, gays, and muslims; hahahaha!!! Imagine, we could torture people on pay-per-view and charge $150 to see these loud-mouth athiests see what this Christian nation is all about. I’d watch; Get ‘Er Done!

I am at a loss for words! As a Christian, I pray to God that he is nothing like what this person suggests because if he is, I would rather spend eternity in Hell than 1 moment in this persons version of Heaven

    1. Prinnie (Post author)

I have seen some of the most hate filled comments come from people who call themselves “good Christians”. That’s where my problem is. I don’t profess to be something I’m not. I don’t understand why someone would pretend to be God fearing out of one side of their mouth and a filthy, hate talker out of the other. I know who I am, and don’t have to put on airs for anyone. I guess there are way too many people who don’t like who they are so they have to put on masks.

  9. marthaandkristine

there is a segment that wears religion like an accessory… They just think it looks good on them! Those are the ones you speak the truth on here…. but then no one’s fooled by them… we could all use a little “christian” behavior… call it what you will

  10. Uncle Tree

You may know they are Christians by what they do,
and the fruit they produce. I can only hope that my apples aren’t sour.

    Good day! 🙂 UT

I generally don’t judge others by their religion. It is their personal journey – not mine. HOWEVER, when someone makes it a point to pound their chest and scream “ME CHRISTIAN – you sinner” and then they turn around and act in ungodly ways THAT I have issue with because that makes them no better than the persons they are finger pointing. Plus, who or what gave them the right to judge anyone? Who gave them the right to assume that someone is “complaining” when a good Christian – rather a GOOD HUMAN – would reach out to a person in crisis and try to help them even if it were just providing an ear or moral support. These are the pseudo-Christians that chap my hiney. There are too many people who like to wear the word Christian as a label to trick others into believing they are dolly do-gooders but eventually their wickedness shines through, and it doesn’t take a spiritual entity to figure it out. Some people are just assholes.
