Teens Savagely Beat Disabled Woman

Three Pennsylvania teens are currently in police custody waiting to be charged as adults for aggravated assault and other related offenses while the other three are supposed to turn themselves in. On Monday or Tuesday night, the six teens viciously attacked and beat a 48-year old mentally disabled woman while one of them used her cell phone to record the assault. They then posted the video on Facebook; obviously more dumb teens believing that it was cool to brag about criminal behavior. Thankfully, it caught the attention of a local parent who reported it to police. Without the information being reported by the parent, police Commissioner Joseph Bail said that the crime could have gone unnoticed. In a way, I am glad these girls are dumb as rocks, otherwise no one would have known about the attack because the victim did not report it to police.

It really has, but in one way that’s a good thing – they get caught. On the other hand, what the hell is wrong with these kids? I swear, it’s like they have all become desensitized and have an overall lack of compassion and moral values. I suppose when these thugs get a real life beat down in the pokey by some real criminals they will realize it doesn’t pay to be a criminal…or a dumb ass.

Just saw a news segment on CNN’s Headline News of a nannycam that caught two men beating on a 21 year old autistic man with the mental capacity of an 8 month old. hope these two punks get ” Hammered ” in jail. Dirty %**^^ pieces of human debris!

WTH is wrong with our society? We have become so desensitized & it gets worse as we become more progressively Liberal as a nation. Lack of spirituality brings us lack of compassion!

I have to disagree regarding lack of spirituality. I know a lot of atheists and agnostics who are very compassionate, do much for their communities and are not morally corrupt. Just because one does not believe doesn’t make them socially or morally corrupt. 😉 As to the other part of your statement, I wholeheartedly agree regarding desensitizing of our children. There have been NUMEROUS studies that prove this to be fact. I don’t watch a lot of network television, but when I do happen to surf through the programming the violence is a bit much.

I would have to agree many people in my close circle who do not associate themselves with any religious or anti-religious groups are some of the most warm-hearted, caring, giving people I know. I think a major part of the problem here is what we as a society deem acceptable as well as what is in the media. These kids for the most part are hit with a barrage of sex and violence on a daily basis. Then we sit back and wonder why they are able to do such vile things.

MB, this is Chester, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. When we first moved to this area one of the first things we were told is to stay out of Chester. This report was on our local news yesterday afternoon. The woman was sitting on a chair just outside of her apartment in the middle of the day and the five girls were walking in the sidewalk. One of them just walked over to this poor woman and started punching her with her fists. The other girls quickly joined in and pushed the woman inside her apartment where the vicious attack continued. Surveillance cameras on the street caught the initiation of the attack and the stupid girls recorded the rest of it. Horrible!

Agreed regarding the politicians. However, not to go off on a political rant but those who vote these derelicts into office need to research the candidates and follow the money. I am not singling out particular parties. IMO few politicians are doing this for the good of all men. Most are doing what is good for their pocketbooks.

We are living in a world where young people no longer respect their elders.
How sad that this woman was treated so horrible. Perhaps, they figured she could not report them due to her disability.
However, watching what some kids do these days, it’s obvious that they have no compassion for others It seems like they have no clue what moral values are they have never been taught.
I know my children were taught moral values and compassion. I don’t think any of them would have tried anything like this for fear of consequences.
Today’s parents just turn their teenagers loose and have no clue where they go or what they do.

Hmmph, they needed my mom! LOL I remember ONE time and one time only that I mouthed off. I picked my butt off the floor and thought twice before I ran my mouth again. She would give them the German boomerang shoe. Not pleasant. Not pleasant at all.

Our local news just reported four of the teens, ages 15 and 16, are now in custody and were arraigned today. They will be charged as adults for two felony counts each, felony aggravated robbery and the other felony assault. The fifth person is an adult and is supposedly going to turn herself in voluntarily. The police know her identity.

Thank God the parent called the police. A real parent.

It wasn’t one of the attacker’s parents who reported it. The girls uploaded the video to FB and apparrently one of their FB friends has a vigilant parent who saw the video (most likely while creeping on their child’s FB wall, which I think is a great idea) and notified the police. The police then obtained the surveillance video from the street which lead them to the girls because some of them live in the same neighborhood as the woman they attacked.

At least there was surveillance video available and not a ‘fake’ video. There was a similar incident in Pgh a few years ago that involved a mentally handicapped girl and rape. No video though. These kids’ attitude is to attack the most vulnerable among us. No empathy or compassion at all.

ALL SIX ATTACKERS IN CUSTODY. The girls in custody are charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, burglary, and harassment. They are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail each. Investigators said they will be charged as adults.

This attack was planned. The girls video recorded themselves planning the attack and then carrying it out.
