Second Indictment Issued by
Steubenville Special Grand Jury

(STEUBENVILLE, Ohio)—Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced that a second indictment has been issued in the special grand jury reviewing whether additional crimes were committed regarding the Steubenville teen rape case.

Hannah M. Rhinaman, 20, of Mingo Junction, was indicted by the grand jury on the following counts:

  • Two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, a fifth degree felony
  • One count of Grand Theft, a fifth degree felony

The charges against Hannah Rhinaman are related to incidents that occurred at Steubenville City Schools. However, the charges are separate and unrelated to the previous indictment issued against her father, William Rhinaman, on October 7.

If convicted on all counts, Hannah Rhinaman could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.

The grand jury adjourned today until a future date to be determined.

Hannah Rhinaman is the daughter of William Rhinaman, who was the first indictment handed down by the Grand Jury. There are some very interesting comments over at Radio’s regarding Hannah.

This is from the AG’s office: Not sure how to interpret this until the state releases exactly what it was she is being accused of, and still unsure how her charges fit into the rape investigation – if at all.

    Prinnie-
Thanks for that. I Read the article and such at radio, really cleared it up for me. I feel like there are SO MANY players in this disgusting game, even researching this for the last week or so, I cant keep them straight. I am completely fascinated and disgusted by this whole ordeal. I personally cant relate to small town mentality and corrupt officials who helped cover up a rape, and a whole town shaming, labeling and re-victimizing Jane Doe. Its baffling to me. Unheard of. A slap in the face. Foreign. And, these adults involved with this case! Unbeliavable. Truly.

Prinnie, I do have some questions about Jane Doe’s previous relationship with one of the big red boys, who I will not name, because you never know when someone is going to sue you for defamation. I read something about her being in a relationship with a boy, who was alleged to be both physically and emotionally abuse, and who might have set this whole ordeal in montion. Is there any truth to that? Or maybe a link that clears that up a bit?

Its been hard to distinguish the true credible information in all the articles written about the case. If you could point me in the right direction? I’d really like to figure that part out…

I don’t believe that a whole town shamed and victim blamed, but I do believe that there were MANY who did, including parents of the boys and family members and close associates. Go read some of the twitter links I posted previously. If you want to know why those kids behaved the way they did – you only have to look as far as their role models.

Early on it was alleged that this person was somehow involved or masterminded the crime. That was never proven and the townspeople were tossing that rumor back and forth, among others long before I ever blogged about the case. I have read that he was physically and emotionally abusive, and again that is info that I just don’t have proof of. There has been lots of chatter about it, but nothing concrete. He certainly didn’t come off as a caring person by taking the photo of her and then posting it online with the #sloppy hashtag. It is possible that at some point in the future when civil suits are filed, that specific information might come out as far as the history between he and JD.

Oh, and another thing, out of all the suspicious happenings and dealings with adults in this case, there are only 2 indicments so far, for these 2 individuals? Im wondering what the Feds approach is right now..starting with the small fish, get them to roll on the big fish?

I’m not a legal expert, but it seems like they are picking low hanging fruit maybe hoping that these people will cooperate or provide information. I do believe they probably have others in their sights. They have been investigating for a while and I do not believe that it is because they can’t find anything. They know exactly what they are looking for, IMO.

      Comments from Hannah Rhinaman’s girlfriend:

“These retarded ******* got her dad in a bunch of s*** and they’re trying to involve his daughter in it,” said Jenn Fletcher when reached by phone in Steubenville, Ohio. “But there’s no proof that he did anything, and there’s no proof she did, either.”

I’m just happy to find your blog going again, followed you all last yr, and thought you did a great job. Hate the hideous stuff the ‘shrews’ as they are called put out there daily. Amazed how they have made themselves the “victims” of the Steubenville rape case, and you, the ky guy and MLM who I just don’t get, are the criminals!!!!!!!
Talk about false narrative, it’s really incredible, and because it is ridiculous, they tweet to their own choir. This Steubenville native knows NO ONE there, and I do know people, NO ONE but this group of freaks buys into their victimhood, and shifting blame from the hideous rapists and pornographer teens (most of whom escaped all culpability…shameful) to a blogger who just managed to put their vile tweets our there for all to see.
Thank you for tuffing this out, far more here are in support of your efforts than will know. Very few have time to tweet and make these posts. So from all of them and myself, again thank you for fighting the good fight including exposing the corruption in Jeff Cnty. We are legion, and we are grateful.
We are required by our Faith to forgive, but we do not forget.

Thank you. They prove daily why the kids behaved the way they did – the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Yes, thank you for your continued blogging of this case. The “shrews” do not speak for all of us, just a handful who, in my opinion, are probably family members or close friends of those involved. The majority of us in Steubenville appreciate your blogging and are truly grateful to you for protecting the does.

Thank you. It is obvious that those who continue to harass and intimidate anyone who speaks out about this case are closely tied to the juveniles involved. I will continue blogging about this case, and honestly — it’s probably time that I broke my silence about all that has gone on this past year.
