Big Red Nation Says Eff You to the World

It was reported today that Ma’Lik Richmond has rejoined the Steubenville High School football lineup. Ma’Lik Richmond, one of two teens convicted in the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Steubenville, was back on the roster at Steubenville Big Red as of Monday morning.Richmond was found delinquent of raping a 16-year-old girl in March 2013, and must register as a Tier II sex offender every 180 days for 20 years.Richmond was released from an Ohio Juvenile Detention Center on January 6, 2014, and in June of this year, the 7th District Court of Appeals upheld his sexual offender classification.    Source I don’t know why I am shocked.  I mean, didn’t we all assume this was going to happen?  Really, why would this school care about what people thought about them or that they look more like rape apologists than they ever did? It is very obvious – even two … Continue reading →

Less Than Honorable Behavior

There has been a lot of activity coming out of Steubenville lately from  illegal gambling raids to the Bill of Particulars being released in the State’s case against school administrators regarding the alleged cover up to protect Steubenville high school athletes accused of rape.  Last week the Bill of Particulars was filed with the court which accuses Mike McVey, Superintendent of Steubenville City Schools of  wiping computer hard drives, erasing emails and lying to investigators about his knowledge of the allegations against the boys. There have also been allegations of witness  intimidation or harassment raised by both the prosecution and the defense in McVey’s case. McVey has pleaded not guilty to felony counts of tampering with evidence and obstructing justice, and misdemeanor counts of falsification and obstructing official business. Early on McVey claims that he and the principal deferred investigation or judgment to Coach Reno Saccoccia when asked about the school’s … Continue reading →

Cultural Apathy

Last week members of the Steubenville Police Department along with agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed the search warrants on 8 locations throughout Jefferson County in what was reported to be raids resulting from an illegal gambling investigation initiated by Steubenville Police and Ohio BCI.  An estimated $1.5 million was seized as a result of the coordinated raids.   What is odd is the lack of response by Jefferson County Prosecutor’s office and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department with regard to the raids.   Why hasn’t the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office and Sheriff’s office congratulated Steubenville PD and BCI on a job well done?  There have been so many other congratulatory butt slaps over the past 2 years when it comes to joint effort investigations and arrests.  Why no congratulatory ticker tape this time?    … Continue reading →

The Perception of Corruption?

Corruption is defined as “dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power“.  Falsifying police reports and tampering with official police recorders so that misconduct would not be documented would certainly beperceived by the average layperson as “corrupt”.  Using excessive force against persons who witnessed police misconduct would be perceived by the average layperson as “corrupt”.  When those in power turned a blind eye and condoned this type of conduct, the average layperson would perceive that this behavior was “corrupt”.

We Didn't Know What Rape Was

MARK COLE: Mark Cole II, 17, said the victim was leaving one house and was so intoxicated she could barely walk. “She wasn’t capable of walking on her own and was stumbling as walking,” Cole said. Cole said he shot a video of sexual conduct in his car between Mays and the victim as they were driving to Cole’s house. Cole said he later deleted the video from his phone. He said, at his house, Mays attempted to get the victim to perform oral sex on Mays. Cole said it “wasn’t his place to determine if there was a sexual assault. He said he didn’t believe it was necessary to call his mother, who wasn’t at home, another adult or the police. Cole did say the victim wasn’t moving at his house when the sexual assault took place. He said Richmond was lying beside her with his hands around her … Continue reading →

Fraudulent Boycott Activity

I just finished reading Presumed Guilty: Casey Anthony: The Inside Story by Jose Baez and found it to be VERY interesting and insightful.  It answered so many questions regarding his defense strategy and I have the utmost respect for him as a defense attorney.  He pulled off what was thought to be a slam-dunk case for the State.  His book has also made the New York Times Best Sellers list. It is getting great reviews…unless you are one of those people who are still butthurt over the verdict and can’t seem to understand the term “beyond a reasonable doubt“. For the last four years this case has brought out the ugliest behavior in people.  These are people who believe every word that Nancy Grace feeds them and are too afraid to think for themselves or look at subject matter minus their emotions.  Their abnormal love and devotion for Caylee Anthony is … Continue reading →

Oh, the Irony

I just read a tweet that I find dripping with irony and am I am truly appalled — first of all that these people are HARASSING an innocent person because his church may or may not have given refuge to the woman they are criminally stalking.  Secondly, that church would not have to have chains and no trespassing signs if it were not for the mouth breathers who  have the big O at the thought of stringing Casey up and burning her at the stake.  What century are we living in, by the way? Sickening! This case has brought out some of the most low-rent, undesirable shit bags on the internet and they should all be ashamed of themselves for the way they are acting. … Continue reading →

Justice Redefined?

Justice…I’ve seen the word bandied about plenty over the past few months, and I am truly trying to figure out how there is ever justice in a child’s murder case.  Will their cries for justice bring back a dead child that had she not been cute and white – they probably wouldn’t give a crap about anyhow.  How does calling for the death of her mother actually provide justice for Caylee?  Are their caws for “justice” really in search of JUSTICE for Caylee or is Caylee merely being used as a vehicle for their hate and vitriol?  These bitter, old women are spurring on and advocating violence be meted out against someone who was found not guilty.  Someone whom they OPINE may have killed her child.  Guilt is, in fact, nothing more than speculation and opinion because no one has taken credit for the dastardly deed and there is no … Continue reading →

Sick and Tired

Literally.  I’ve been really sick lately.  So sick that I have spent way too much time in bed and unable to do more than take the dogs out.  I am pretty sure it has to do with the new meds that I am on, but the pain from this second spinal fusion surgery is agonizing and much worse than what I dealt with after the first surgery.  I’m really pissed that my previous surgeon released me when I was not fused.  He told me that I was fused, but in reality there was nothing there.  Screws and rods and nerves being impinged with absolutely no fusion and a missing screw.  Where it is – no one seems to know.  LOL  So, I walked around for three years in so much pain because I wasn’t fused properly.  This time the pain is from having a second surgery and additional scar tissue in … Continue reading →
