It won’t be long now until the trees are bare and winter’s wind and that ugly white stuff that no one wants to acknowledge will be here, and it will be yet another year that I am not back in my beloved home in the Mojave Desert. BUT…I’m making the best of it, and I truly believe that everything that happens in our lives is for a reason and preparing us for the next journey that the universe/creator tosses our way. I miss the desert A LOT, but while I was there I also missed the changing of seasons, especially autumn. It is by far my favorite season just because of the brilliant colors of the leaves turning as they die. That has always intrigued me – the leaves are dying and in their death throes provide the most amazing backdrops to our surroundings. I’ve been so sick that I … Continue reading →
There is not much information available to the public other than a 15-year old girl was abducted after missing her bus as she walked along McGuffey Road in Columbus. Her grandparents who have asked to remain anonymous said she missed her school bus and decided to walk back to her Northeast Columbus home when the suspects pulled her into the car. They duct taped her and drove her to another location where she heard several voices other than the two that she heard during the abduction and in the car. Columbus Police Detectives have little to go on in terms of suspect information but believe a 2-door black car was used in the abduction. (Source) There is no information regarding the description of the occupants of the car. Investigators ask anyone with information on this abduction to call the Columbus Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit. … Continue reading →
Cold cases tear at my heart strings but when they involve the unsolved murders of children, they are even more upsetting. Bill Comeans was 5 days from turning 15-years old when he was murdered in Columbus, Ohio. He was a student at Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio. I attended this high school and Bill grew up in my neighborhood. Everyone who knew him had nothing but glowing comments about him. He was a thoughtful, loving kid with a giant heart. He had a paper route that he got so he could use his earnings to buy a piano. Every year he played Santa Claus for the neighbor boy. It brought him great joy to spread kindness to others, but someone wanted to harm Bill. That is what is so unbelievable about this case. Bill had no enemies that anyone knew of. He was well liked by everyone.
Where’d ya get those…perversions. Someone who has been named the “Hilltop Creeper” is breaking into women’s homes in the middle of the night and once inside their homes lurps over their beds while they sleep and touches them inappropriately. So far there have been 19 incidents all concentrated in the Hilltop area of Columbus. The posted map shows the dotted areas where the Creeper has struck. The Hilltop is on the west side of Columbus. It has been very hot in Columbus lately and many folks in that area may not have air conditioning, which would explain having open windows. This man is looking for opportunity and an open window obviously allows him entrance into the homes. It also appears as though his attacks are ramping up and becoming more frequent. With most sexual oriented attacks, the possibility of this escalating into a full sexual attack is not below the … Continue reading →
