Let Me Say it Sloooooowly…Deric Lostutter Did NOT Expose a Rape Case

It gets frustrating when journalists do not do research and copy and paste from other erroneous reports because they are only assisting in perpetuating the false narrative created by Deric Lostutter aka KYAnonymous.  He did not help solve a rape case.  Please, someone do some research and provide factual, judicially or law enforcement vetted statements or evidence that proves he helped solve the Steubenville rape case. *I’ll wait*  From the recent headlines regarding Lostutter’s guilty plea from RT.com.  Right off the bat, erroneous information is passed on to the reader: Hacker who helped expose Ohio rape case pleads guilty, faces more prison time than rapists A Kentucky man who, in 2012, hacked into an online account for followers of a Ohio high school’s football team to expose a gang rape of a teenage girl has pleaded guilty to charges associated … Continue reading →

The Lie Printed Around the World

I take very seriously those who refer to themselves as journalists and who don’t abide by any journalistic code of ethics.  Being a journalist means that you research your piece, and you try to the best of your ability to print the facts. People trust that journalists are providing factual, researched information.  In today’s world of journalism, that simply is not happening.  Journalists or those self-titled journos are not doing any research, but instead copying and pasting the erroneous information from others that they find online.  This is absolutely reprehensible and shows the laziness of today’s journalist. As a result, the lie is printed so much that people just assume it is fact.  No one wants to take the time to do a little bit of research to find out if what they are reading is true, and just because … Continue reading →

Baby Bird Rescue

img_8133.jpg

The sparrows have been using my blinds outside as a nest all summer, and one of the babies either fell out of the best twice or was pushed out by mother bird or other siblings.  After I put him back in the nest, I would check on the ground and peek up in the nest to make sure he was okay.  On Monday, they pushed him out again so I intervened.  I really wasn’t expecting him to make it, but he is doing GREAT!  I named him Ceefus.  A few people have asked that I post pictures and videos to watch his progress.  I am hand feeding him now but in a few days or so he will probably start pecking for food so I’m going to start feeding him mealworms.  I do plan on releasing him…unless he doesn’t leave. … Continue reading →

Rhoden Family Murders

backus

I have been following the Pike County, Ohio case because it is local and the “hillbilly” family dynamics is interesting.  I use the term hillbilly not as an insult but to describe the way of life.  I, myself, am a “hillbilly”.  I grew up in southern West Virginia and can relate to the small town atmosphere and cultural mores.  My life in rural Appalachia was rough.  I know poverty firsthand and what it means to be thankful for what you have.  When I see interviews with the locals from Pike County, I can relate to them.  I was one of them once.  You can take the girl out of the holler, but you can’t take the holler out of the girl. I grew up on Backus Mountain in Meadow Bridge, West Virginia; population less than 400.  We lived in a … Continue reading →

Autumn in Ohio

It won’t be long now until the trees are bare and winter’s wind and that ugly white stuff that no one wants to acknowledge will be here, and it will be yet another year that I am not back in my beloved home in the Mojave Desert.  BUT…I’m making the best of it, and I truly believe that everything that happens in our lives is for a reason and preparing us for the next journey that the universe/creator tosses our way.  I miss the desert A LOT, but while I was there I also missed the changing of seasons, especially autumn.  It is by far my favorite season just because of the brilliant colors of the leaves turning as they die.  That has always intrigued me – the leaves are dying and in their death throes provide the most amazing … Continue reading →

KYAnonymous Wrongly Accuses Man of Sex Crimes

For the past few years it has been very troublesome watching Deric Lostutter aka KYAnonymous act irresponsibly online when it came to various cases that he is involved with.  As most know, Deric Lostutter is the Anonymous member KyAnonymous, who initiated #OPROLLREDROLL and who initially posted the now infamous Michael Nodianos video, as well as posting an Anon warning video to students that if they did not apologize to Jane Doe he would post their private information as well as social security numbers.  Deric Lostutter was wrong for making those types of threats against teenagers who may have tweeted ugly things to the victim, and sadly – he is still acting like this years later.   Not only does he continue to use the Steubenville rape case as his claim to fame, but he also uses his raid by the FBI … Continue reading →

Rest Easy, Leelah Alcorn

THIS breaks my heart. Simply rips it from my chest and causes me to have soul crushing pain for this child.  After years of abuse and rejection from strict Christian parents, Leelah who was a  transgender teen commited suicide by stepping in front of a moving tractor trailer this weekend.  Leelah Alcorn, also known as Joshua Alcorn, was struck and killed by a passing semitrailer on southbound Interstate 71 in Union Township Sunday morning.  A suicide note placed in a queue was  subsequently posted on her Tumblr. It breaks my heart to read someone so young be who is feels as though they have nothing to live for.  It also makes me very angry at those who use religion as an excuse to abuse others or belittle them.    I could go on for days about that, but this post is … Continue reading →

Columbus Police Investigate Gang Rape

There is not much information available to the public other than a 15-year old girl was abducted after missing her bus as she walked along McGuffey Road in Columbus. Her grandparents who have asked to remain anonymous said she missed her school bus and decided to walk back to her Northeast Columbus home when the suspects pulled her into the car.  They duct taped her and drove her to another location where she heard several voices other than the two that she heard during the abduction and in the car. Columbus Police Detectives have little to go on in terms of suspect information but believe a 2-door black car was used in the abduction.  (Source)  There is no information regarding the description of the occupants of the car. Investigators ask anyone with information on this abduction to call the Columbus … Continue reading →

Alleged Kicking Grounds for Suspension…but RAPE? PLAY BALL #STEUBENVILLE!!

Post by WTRF 7News. CAMERON –The Cameron High School community is questioning a controversial call made at a Friday night game that resulted in a senior football player being ejected from the game and suspended for two games, with one of those games being “Senior Night.”Senior Dalton Wood was ejected from the Cameron-Beallsville game after a referee accused him of kicking an opposing player who was laying on the ground. However, due to a video of the alleged incident circulating on social media, many say they fail to see the supposed kick. Making some residents even more upset is that there is no appeals process for ejections from games in West Virginia and Ohio. For starters, I’m not an avid football watcher but to me – it doesn’t look like a kick. What it looks like is that he was … Continue reading →
